f(x) = x² - 6x - 16

x² - 6x - 16 = 0

ask yourself, which two numbers add up to "-6" and multiply to "-16"

-8 and 2

rewrite the expression using the above;
(x - 8)(x + 2)
x = 8, -2

so the zeros are 8 and -2.

hope this helps, God bless!
