5 + 10x + 5.15 = 60.15
Add the common like terms: 5 + 5.15 = 10.15

New equation:
 10.15 + 10x = 60.15

Subtract the 10.15 from 60.15

 10.15 + 10x = 60.15
- 10.15          -10.15
________________
10x = 50

Now divide 10x by 10 and 50 by 10.

[tex] \frac{10x}{10} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{50}{10} [/tex]
  x = 5

5 is your final answer.

I hope this helped!!
