Hi there! The answer is - 4

[tex]5 + ( - 3) - 6 = [/tex]
Keep in mind that a plus and a minus end up in a minus, so
+ - = -

[tex]5 - 3 - 6 = [/tex]
Now subtract from left to right.

[tex]2 - 6 = [/tex]
Subtract one final time.

[tex] - 4[/tex]
Therefore the answer is - 4.
~ Hope this helps you!
