circle area formula =
[tex]\pi {r}^{2} [/tex]
half of the diameter is radius(r) so 1.8÷2 = 0.9m

[tex]\pi \times {0.9}^{2} = [/tex]
[tex] {2.54m}^{2} [/tex]

Area of a circle =pi (3.14)r^2
Radius = 1/2 diameter
radius = 1/2 1.8
r = 0.9

Area = 3.14 x (0.9^2)
Area = 3.14 x 0.81
Area = 2.5434 (and you can round off to nearest tenth or hundredth)
