Abraham Lincoln was not exactly against slavery, but he did want to stop slavery from spreading. Even though he married a woman who owned slaves, he still was not for slavery. He wanted slavery to be extinct."I am naturally anti-slavery. If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong. I can not remember when I did not so think, and feel." ~ Abraham Lincoln.
