if the x2 is x^2 then :
x^2 + 58 = 4
move four over
x^2 +58 -4 =0
x^2 + 54+   = 0
(x^2 +729 )^2= -729
x^2 = -1458
x= + or - the square root of -1458

[tex]x^2 + 58 = 4 \\ \\ x^2 = 4 - 58 \ / \ subtract\ 58 \ from \ each \ side \\ \\ x^2 = -54 \ / \ simplify \\ \\ x = \pm \sqrt{-54} \ / \ square \ root \ of \ each \ side \\ \\ x = \pm \sqrt{54i} \ / \ simplify \\ \\ x = \pm 3 \sqrt{6i} \ / \ simplify \\ \\ [/tex]

So, your answer to this problem is x = ±3√6i
