 f(x) = 3x - 1
g(x) = -x + 6

f(2) + g(5) = (3(2) - 1) + (-(5) + 6)
f(2) + g(5) = (6 - 1) + (-5 + 6)
f(2) + g(5) = 5 + 1
f(2) + g(5) = 6

The answer is C.
