When f(x) = 0,

[tex]2x^2 - 50 = 0[/tex]

[tex]2(x^2 - 25) = 0[/tex]

[tex]2(x- 5)(x + 5) = 0[/tex]

[tex](x - 5) = 0 \ or \ (x + 5) = 0[/tex]

[tex]x = 5 \ or \ x = -5[/tex]
