To find the surface area we deconstruct the figure then add all the areas together.

The area of the rectangle on the bottom is 8*6 or 48.
The side rectangles are 5*6 or 30. 
The two triangles are [tex]\frac{8*3}{2} [/tex] or 12.

48+30+30+12+12= 132.
