∵the line is ⊥ to -7x -8y =12
∴its slope = -(-7/-8)= -7/8
∵it passes through P
∴(y-1)=(-7/8)(x+3)
y-1 = (-7/8)x - 21/8
y = (-7/8)x -13/8
