they can be different because one side of the triangle may be a different length than anothor side

Triangles can be different if they are a right triangle with a right angle, a acute triangle with acute angles, or a obtuse triangle with on obtuse angle. Triangles can also be different based of off side length all sides are the same length, 2 sides are the same length, or no sides are the same length.
