Write the equation of the line that passes through (3, –2) and has a slope of 4 in point-slope form.

The point-slope form is
y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Given (3, -2) and m = 4, so
y - (-2) = 4(x - 3)
y + 2 = 4x - 12
y = 4x - 12 - 2
y = 4x - 14

That is now the line equation.
