Bunker hill: first American HUGE loss. The Americans had a huge advantage but ran out of gun powder. Many Americans lost hope with the continental army. If not the battle of Bunker hill, Definitely Valley Forge. The weather was super cold which made a lot of soldiers loose hope (more than half of Washington's fighters left him) (Only if this is about the Revolutionary war) Hope this helps :)
