The work done by a force when moving an object is given by:
[tex]W=Fd[/tex]
where W is the work, F is the force and d the displacement of the object.
Therefore, using [tex]F=47~N[/tex] and [tex]d=0.26~m[/tex], we get a total work of
[tex]W=Fd=47~N \cdot 0.26~m=12.22~J[/tex]
