(z^6 - 8)(z^6 + 8) is the answer. If you verify this by multiplying, you will see that: (z^6 - 8)(z^6 + 8) = z^(6+6) + 8z^6 - 8z^6 - 64 = z^12 + 0 - 64 = z^12 - 64 Hope this helps, Brian
