I got this because it is asking for the value of the fractions after you add.
To add fractions you need to find a common denominator, which in this case is 16, so you would only need to multiply to 7/8 fraction to get 14/16.
You can then add 1/16 to 14/16, and remember the denominator stays the same, so the answer would be 15/16
