There is a lot of value in discussion and analyzation of poetry. When talking with other people, they could give you insight that you hadn't thought of. They can give you new ideas and help you understand important concepts in a poem. People help give you ideas and opinion. Having someone discuss with you after reading is a very productive thing to do!
