1. Find the equation of the line that is parallel to the line y = 0.6x-3 and passes through the point (-2,2).

so the equation is parallel and the slope will be 2
y=0.6x+b 
sub in(-2,2) for x and y to find b
2=0.6(-2)+b
2+1.2=b
b=3.2
therefore the equation is y=0.6x+3.2
