1 gallon is equal to 4 quarts. 
So you can either get 2 quarts for $3, or 4 quarts for 3$
1 gallon is the better deal.

1 gallon for $4.25 is the better deal. This is because when you convert gallons to quartz, there is 4 quartz in 1 gallon. Once we know this, we find out how much per quart. The first deal would be about $1.08, and the second would be $1.06, meaning the second deal is better.
