The activity of the patient that will be altered as a result of the diagnosis is the CHEWING activity. Trigeminal neuralgia is a medical condition in which sudden and abrupt facial pains are experienced typically in the lower part of the face and jaw. The disease is a nerve disorder that is usually caused by the destruction of the myelin sheath that protects some nerves. The condition usually affects the trigenial nerves which carry impulses from the face to the brain and is important for chewing.
