To solve a triangle using law of sines you must have the length of one side and the measure of the angle opposite that particular side. Then you must have one other piece of information, either one more side length or one more angle measurement. However in some cases when the information you are given is two consecutive sides, and the angle is not between the two consecutive sides, then there exists the possibility that there are two different triangles that will satisfy the given information.
