Maybe you're confused by this number e.
Replace e with the number 2 and rethink your options:

x^2
2^x
2x

So you think maybe it's C.
2x represents a straight line, ya?
Straight line is going to grow much slower than x^2, a parabola, ya?

But both of those will grow much much slower than an exponential function 2^x.

Oh oh I misread the question.. they wanted the SLOWEST growth, not the fastest. Yes you have the correct option! :)
