x= 12 and y=12
Explanation: To get the variables alone, you multiply each by 0. That would leave you with x-y=12. So the x is 12 and the y is 12. Hope this helped!

9x - 7y = -12

-7y = -9x - 12

7y = 9x + 12

y = 9/7x + 12/7

0 = 9/7x + 12/7

9/7x = 12/7

x = (12/7) / (9/7)

x= 1.333...

y intercept = 1.714285... (12/7)

x intecept = 1.333... (4/3)
