Hello here is a solution:
equation for the line is :   y = ax+b    a : slope
let A(3;-1)   B(-5;3)
a= ((3)-(-1))/(-5)-(3))
a= 4/-8
a=-1/2
y=(-1/2) x+b
- 1 = (-1/2)(3)+b
b= 1/2
the equatdion is : y=(-1/2)x+1/2
