When you are trying to copy consecutive items in a word processor, spreadsheet, or presentation, you can choose to click the first item in your list, hold down (C) shift, and click the last item. This would highlight all the items from the first item you clicked to the last one. It applies both to words, numbers, paragraphs, and sentences.
