A) 2x + 2y = -3
B) 2x -y = 5
B) y = 2x -5
Substituting equation B into A
A) 2x +2*(2x-5) = -3
2x + 4x -10 = -3
6x = 7
x = 1.16666666
y = 2*
1.16666667 -5
y = 
-2.66666666
