The French and English colonization was similar in many aspects, mainly in the exploration of the place and in the treatment of the indigenous people.

French colonization aimed to conquer precious metals and therefore focused on mining and prospecting. During this period, they maintained a controversial type of trade with the indigenous people, but they did not pulp moments of violence, where the indigenous people were abused and often killed.

The British, on the other hand, were interested in establishing a farm where they could exploit the natural resources of the environment. This was also done with intense exploitation and excessive violence against indigenous people.
