B would be the correct answer. The mass multiplied with speed at the begining is 0 and at the end it is -8. So during the 6sec the change of momentum is -8. It is true that in the first 4sec it was 8, and in the last two sec it was -16, but all together it is -8. Does it make sense? What do you think?
