Answer: Three hundred and fifty-nine (359) Canadian soldiers were killed on D-Day. More than 5,000 of our soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice in the Battle of Normandy and lie buried in a place far from their homes and loved ones even if they didn’t except to survive at least they gave there all.
