By choosing the wrong friends, they can upset you or make you change behaviour. Such as encouraging smoking or drinking, these could lead to conflict with your family if they are against this.

if you have the wrong friends they lead you into doing things that they know is “right” but to your family is wrong. your friends may have different morals than your family. at the time you see nothing wrong, so you’re most likely arguing with your family , thus causing conflict.
