Answer:
(This is assuming windows ten) Open settings, navigate to update and security and look for device encryption. If you see this option, turn it on.
If you do not see this, then go to the start button on the bottom left. Search BitLocker. Click it, and it will open the BitLocker settings in a control panel window. Enable, and then I would suggest backing up your encryption key if it shows that option.
If this doesn't work, then I'd hop on a Microsoft forum.
