Using robots, based on what I can remember, we electrocute the lionfish to death and bring them into a tray to be collected.  However, it probably hurts a lot for the lionfish, as even our human bodies can't stand such types of shock, hence the death sentence.  This is inhumane, as shown in the Trevor Noah Show with Ronny Chieng.  Instead, there are people who use guns to give the lionfish a quicker and more painless ending.
