Answer:

rate = change in height / change in time

rate = (8 - 2) / (9 - 3)

rate = 6 / 6

rate = 1

y = 1w + b

2 = 1(3) + b

2 = 3 + b

-1 = b                  Not sure how a plant starts out at -1 feet!

y = w - 1
