First, get the equation into Ax + By = C.

y = [tex] \frac{-4}{5} [/tex] x - 7         (ADD 7 TO BOTH SIDES)
7 + y = [tex] \frac{-4}{5} [/tex] x         (SUBTRACT y FROM BOTH SIDES)
7 = [tex] \frac{-4}{5} [/tex] x - y          (MULTIPLY BOTH SIDES BY -5)
-35 = 4x + y
^^^^^That's PURE Standard Form^^^^^^^^^
In step 4, you could have multiplied by 5, but A has to be non-negative for this to be PURE standard form. Hope this helps ^-^
