3x + 2y = 2,    -2x + y = 8

Let us just solve by testing each of the options.

Option A is (-2, 4), that is x =-2 and y = 4

check:        for x = -2 and y = 4

3x + 2y = 2

3*-2 + 2*4

-6 +  8 = 2

2 = 2

So both sides are equal.

-2x + y = 8              x = -2 and y = 4

-2*-2 + 4

4 + 4

8

8 = 8

Since option A (-2, 4) satisfies both equation, no need to test other options.

Option A is the answer.
