We can use the derived equation to solve:

h = height

g = acceleration due to gravity

Plug in the given values. Remember to CONVERT km to m:

32 km = 32 km * 1000 m / 1 km = 32,000 m

t = √(2(32000)/3.4) ≈ 137.199 sec

Part 2:

Use the derived equation:

vf = √2gh

vf = √(32000)(3.4) = 329.848 m/s
