[tex]F(X)=6X-4 \hbox{ and } F(A)=26 \\ \hbox{substitute A for X:} \\ F(A)=6A-4 \\ 26=6A-4 \\ 26+4=6A \\ 30=6A \\ \frac{30}{6}=A \\ \boxed{A=5}[/tex]
