It depends on the water you are drinking. If it is ocean water no. There is a lot of germs in ocean water, that can make you very sick, it is also very salty, even if it is heated it could dehydrate you. if it is river spring water that you will heat to kill the germs before use, you should be fine. You could also use hose water.
