Find the area of the rectangle and the triangle then add them.

16x8= rectangle area
(6x4)/2 = triangle area

Sum of two areas= 140

8 x 16 = 128 (area of rectangle)

Area of triangle:

16 - 12 = 4

6 x 4 = 24

24 divided by 2 = 12 (area of triangle)

Now lets add both areas:

128 + 12 = 140 ft2 is your answer.
