Why did many civil rights activists disagree with Booker T. Washington's views of civil rights?

Booker T Washington believed in peace and gaining things with love and that in time people would come to understand the problem with racism. Many activists disagreed because they believed you had to fight for what was right and you had to make a stand because things can’t just come to those who wait. Washington wanted black people to accept racism and discrimination, many definitely disagreed.
