y=x-7

Explanation:
We know this because the slope is 1 so the first part of the equation is y=1x or y=x (you don’t have to show a 1). To find the y intercept we input the points (6,-1) into the equation y=mx+b (b is the y intercept):

(-1)=(6)+b
-1=6+b
subtract 6:
-1-6=b
-7=b

So now we know the full equation is y=x-7
