Answer:

3/4 (8x +12) = (-2x +65)

(3/4 × 8x = 24x/4 = 6x )

(3/4 × 12 =36 /4 = 9)

6x + 9 = (-2x +65)

6x +2x = 65 -9

8x = 56

x = 56/8

x= 7

Answer:

           x = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

[tex]\frac34(8x+12)=-2x+65\\\\\frac34\cdot8x+\frac34\cdot12=-2x+65\\\\3\cdot2x+3\cdot3=-2x+65\\\\6x+9=-2x+65\\{}\quad\ ^{+2x}\qquad^{+2x}\\8x+9=65\\{}\quad\ ^{-9}\qquad^{-9}\\8x = 56\\{}\ ^{\div8\quad\div8}\\x=7[/tex]
