So first you write out the problem -6x-5=37 then add 5 to both sides then you'll get 42 so now your problem will be -6x=42 once you have that divide -6 on both sides and you will get x= -7

hope that helps!

First you need to distribute the variables if its a positive number subtract and if its a negative number add
-6x=41
Then you divide 41/6
The final answer will be 6.8
x= -6.8
If you simplify the answer will be x= -7
