y=-2/5x+1. You need to get y alone. So subtract -2x.. You'll have 5y=-2x+5 Then divide the right side by 5 to get y alone. So y=-2/5x +5/5 which can simplify to y=-2/5+1. Voila the linear equation.

You add -2x to both sides and you should get 5y=2x+5 then you divide by 5 to both sides and you should get y=2/5x+1
