You have to start within the parenthesis. To subtract fractions you need a common denominator. You'll get (3/4 - 2/4) Subtract them (1/4)and square both the top and bottom. (1/16) After that multiply by the 4. The number next to the parenthesis.(4/16 = 1/4) After that you add 5/4 to 1/4  and you'll get 6/4 which reduces to 3/2. That is the answer
