This is a  graph of position against time so we should get the speed or velocity of that motion by calculating the slope of that line.

The line passes through points (1,4) and (4,16)

The slope of the line is;

Slope (m) = change in  y ÷ change in x

i.e m = [tex]\frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}[/tex]

y2 = 16 , y1 = 4 , x2 = 4 and x1 = 1

m = [tex]\frac{16 - 4}{4 - 1} = \frac{12}{3} = 4[/tex]

So the speed or velocity of that motion is 4 m/s
