a laborer is someone who constantly does physical work which exerts more energy then doing paper work or just work in general in an office so the laborer needs more energy to do the hard physical work then the office worker

 A labor requires more energy to continuously do work whereas an office worker does work from a single place, the sedentary work environment of an office worker requires less energy and hence less carbohydrates.
