Real number is actually any number and dividing numbers is not replacable like adding or multiplying. Changing the order may not affect the answer in some situation, however it's not a rule. For example:

12 : 3 : 2 = 2 is the same as 12 : 2 : 3 = 2 but it's not the same as 3 : 2 : 12 = 0,125
