The volume of water to make 4.75 M of NaOH is 252.6 ml

Explanation:

For 12M NaOH:

[tex]12 = \frac{moles of NaOH}{Initial Volume of water}[/tex]

[tex]12 = \frac{moles}{100}\\ \\moles, n = 1200[/tex]

For 4.75 NaOH:

[tex]4.75 = \frac{moles of NaOH}{Final Volume of water}[/tex]

On substituting, n = 1200 in the above formula:

[tex]4.75 = \frac{1200}{Final volume, V} \\\\V = \frac{1200}{4.75} \\\\V = 252.6 ml[/tex]

Therefore, the volume of water to make 4.75 M of NaOH is 252.6 ml
