The decrease in total peripheral resistance to blood flow is usually stimulated by vasoconstriction of arterioles in different organs. This resistance can be detected through three important factors.

When the arteries constrict, the resistance in the blood flow increases and as it dilates, the the arteries sooth as well and the resistance decreases.
